I have been working as a counsellor/psychotherapist for nearly 10 years. I work with children, young people and adults. Offering face-to-face sessions, as well as online/telephone sessions for counselling in Ashford, Kent. The remote options are specifically for those that would prefer remote therapy. Furthermore, I work as an integrative therapist. This means that I draw upon several approaches to therapy. Correspondingly, I use the most appropriate approach for the client at that particular moment. Therapeutic models I use include:
- Psychodynamic theory
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
- Person-centred theory
- Mindfulness
- Existentialism
- Creative Therapy – Sandtray, clay, paints, pens, etc. (For those that are interested in expressing in alternative ways)
I draw from these approaches, I feel it is nevertheless important to communicate that I am interested in supporting a greater understanding of how you feel about the experiences that you will be bringing to therapy. With awareness can come understanding, and with understanding can come choice.
